I HATED TO SEE COREY PATTERSON GO!!

I know he had to go because Cubs fans were booing him unmercifully (2. Exceeding a normal or reasonable limit; excessive)!

He was being booed because he played like crap. He played like crap because DUSTY PLAYED HIM EVERYWHERE IN THE LINEUP!!

2005:
May 1st 3rd (batting .283).
May 2nd 2nd in order.
May11th Corey lead off (batting .263)
May 18th 7th (batting .253).
May 23 rd 7th (up to .273).
May 29th batting 7th (.273).

From the middle of May to the end of May he mostly batted 7th. his average went from .253 to .273 during that time! To me 7th spot looks like a good spot!! If I was the manager I would keep the youngster 7th.

June 1st 6th (.276)
June 2 thru 5 2 for 15 slump batting 6th or 7th
June 6th DNP Hairston played and lead off
June 7th 6th (.266)

Patterson slumping going 3 for 18 so Dusty decides to move him to 2nd!!
June 8th 2nd (.266)
June 14th 2nd (.257)
June 16th 2nd (.257)
June 17th 2nd (.260)
June 20th 2nd (.256)
June 21 st DNP Hairston played CF and lead off
June 22 nd 1st (.250) 0 for 5 2 k's
June 24th 1st (.245)
June 28th 1st (.242) struck out 3 times!!
June 31st 2nd (.236)

Most of June batted 1st or 2nd and his average went from .276 to .236!!

Currently .291 avg .342 obp .496 .slg 7 HR's 21 of 22 sb's batting mostly 7th.

OK maybe they have better coaches. Then we should have gotten rid of our coaches NOT COREY!!
